​"I work in real estate in NYC so most of my time goes into that. Long days, a lot of dinners with clients, traveling sometimes. I tried normal dating for a while but honestly it just didn’t really work with my schedule.

At some point I came across Anna’s Whisper. I wasn’t even totally sure what to expect. I just thought I’d see what it was about and maybe meet someone interesting.

​

Anna mentioned Kristina after we talked for a bit about what I was looking for. She’s a grad student in the arts, really focused on school. When we first met it was at this small bistro in Midtown. Nothing fancy. We ended up sitting there for a long time just talking. I remember thinking it felt pretty natural, which surprised me a little.

​

We were both pretty straightforward about things from the beginning. I told her I was fine helping her out financially while she was finishing school, so we agreed on a monthly allowance. For her it meant she didn’t have to stress about money all the time, and for me it just felt like a simple arrangement that worked.

​

After that we started seeing each other more regularly. Sometimes dinner, sometimes just coffee somewhere downtown. Once we spent almost the whole afternoon just walking around galleries in Chelsea and talking about random things.

​

She also came with me to a couple of social events and actually got along with my friends better than I expected. People liked her right away.

​

It wasn’t some perfect movie story or anything like that. We both had busy schedules and sometimes things didn’t line up. But overall it was a really good experience and I’m glad we met.

NYC can be a strange place to meet people sometimes, so it was nice when something just worked out naturally."
