A guy I know mentioned Anna's Whisper. I was skeptical honestly. Sent Anna a message mostly out of curiosity.

 

She asked me a few questions.. what I was looking for, my schedule, whether I wanted something serious or more of a flexible arrangement. Pretty direct, which I appreciated. She mentioned Kristina maybe a week later. Arts grad student, Russian, based in Manhattan.

 

We met at a bistro near her place. I was running late because of a showing that went long and almost rescheduled. Glad I didn't.

 

She was quieter than I expected at first. Took maybe 20 minutes before the conversation actually got going. But once it did we ended up staying two and a half hours. I remember the place was basically empty by the time we left.

 

We were honest about what we both wanted pretty early on. I help her with expenses while she's finishing her degree. She's not stressed about rent, I'm not eating dinner alone three nights a week. It works.

 

We've been seeing each other maybe five or six months now. Nothing dramatic. Sometimes we do something, sometimes plans fall through because one of us is busy. She came to a work thing I had in Tribeca and people kept asking how we met, which was funny.

 

I don't know where it goes long term. But it's been good so far and I don't regret reaching out."
